I agreen that childabuse is a horible affliction. But one must consider the upside to things. Even though there might be more and more children being abuse, it is also possible to consider that mabey more and more child abuse cases are being reported. I am a victim of child abuse, and I have dedicated my life to becoming a caseworker. I have written two highschool thesies on this topic. I am very happy to see that awareness is being spread all over America. When i was little there weren't prgrams in school that leaded a helping hand to children that were being abuse. I was always ashamed to tell anyone becuase my parents told me that it was my fault. If i wasn't such a horrible child then I wouldn't have to be punished. But in schools today all over America there are programs, and counsolors that are ready to help and talk to you. In health classes you are told its okay to say something and that no child deserves to be abused no matter what. Its taken me along time to get over what happend mentaly, physicaly, and sexualy, but becuase of the people willing to help I have bettered myself and used my experiences to drive me. I hope that awarness continues to spred and eventually we will have a better more effective system.

The cycle of abuse as we see today is getting worse and more and more children are becoming victims of the worst forms of physical, verbal, emotional and sexual abuse. In third world countries the matters are made acute because of illiteracy, poverty, weak governance and poor implementation of laws. This state of affairs leaves the weak and powerless victim without any recourse to support or help either from the society or the State machinery. It is one thing to be a victim of abuse but it is much worse when you are forced to suffer in silence and live with a marred personality forever leaving doors open for living a life of a abuser.
